Who Killed Vincent Chin?

When I first watched the film Who Killed Vincent Chin? in the las vacation, I felt very disturbed and anxious. I think people feel powerless, confused, frustrated, etc., when they don't know what to do about something. Writing and talking about the Vincent Chin case helped me get over the initial shock. Now the case, to me, is a part of history that, although disturbing, I must always remember like the well-known massacres by imperialist Japan, the USA, Nazi Germany, etc.

Report about Japanese Internment

Since the September 11th terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington, DC, many members of the Japanese American community have spoken out against the ill treatment of Muslim Americans. Sixty years ago, in the wake of the bombing of Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, Japanese Americans became the victims of a widespread onslaught of racial discrimination and were viewed as a national security threat by both the general American public and the U.S government. Regardless of citizenship status, Americans of Japanese descent required registration and were subjected to random search and seizure raids, freezing of bank accounts, curfews, property confiscation including the seizure of all guns, short wave radios and cameras.

Rosie O'Donnell's Racist 'Ching Chong' Chinese

When it comes to the defamation of gays and lesbians The View's Rosie O'Donnell is the first one to play sensitivity cop, most notably her patrolling ofKelly Ripa's bout with Clay Aiken, but apparently her hypersensitivity doesn't apply to those of Asian descent. On the December 5 edition of The View, O'Donnell universally mocked the Asian community when she attempted to feign a Chinese accent. Former Republican Senator Alfonse D'Amato was tried and executed by the liberal media for similarly making fun of O.J. Simpson Judge Lance Ito. So the question has to be asked where is that same liberal media now when one of their own is accused of making fun of a minority group?!
